• Dr. G. K. Awari as a research supervisor of the candidate Mr. Rajendra Kadu, Senior Engineer at M & M, Nagpur has developed the product of hybrid tool.
• This product is used for 5 Axis CNC Machine having tool magazine of 60 tools used for machining of tractor gear housing.
• Initially two tools were used for two operations of boring and reaming. The two operations are combined into one and hybrid tool is developed.
• Patent is granted to Faculty of Automobile Engineering Department Dr. Samir Telang and Dr. R. B. Tirpude on 17.8.23 on topic Zero Radius Differential patent no 445548.
• Patent is granted to HOD of Automobile Engineering Department Dr. G. K. Awari on 07.08.23 on topic Portable Briquette Making Machine patent no 443388.
• Awarded - Hybrid Tool Concept for Boring, Reaming & Chamfering in a Single Tool. (Collaborative efforts with Mahindra and Mahindra, Nagpur) Docket No. 15944 Patent Application No: 2492/MUM/2013 dated 28th July 2013.
• Dr. G. K. Awari, HOD Automobile Engineering has been elected as a Maharashtra State Level Member of IEI for Mechanical Engineering Division.
• The magnificent contributions made by the faculty member of the Government Polytechnic, Nagpur, Dr. G. K. Awari, Head of Automobile Engineering Department, have been honoured by the ISTE. The ISTE-U.P. Government National Award-2023 for outstanding work done in specified area of Engineering and Technology was conferred upon Dr. G. K. Awari, HOD, Automobile Engineering, Government Polytechnic, Nagpur during the 53rd Annual Convention of ISTE, held at KIT Bhubaneswar.
