Mechatronics
About the Department
The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Government Polytechnic Nagpur was established in 2020 with the objective of providing students with interdisciplinary technical education combining mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical systems, control systems, and automation. The department focuses on developing industry-oriented skills through theoretical knowledge, practical training, laboratory work, and hands-on learning. Students are introduced to modern technologies such as industrial automation, robotics, sensors and actuators, PLC, microcontrollers, embedded systems, CAD/CAM, and control systems. The department aims to nurture technically competent, innovative, and industry-ready diploma engineers who can meet the evolving requirements of modern manufacturing and automation industries.
